Tweaking things to death is not evidence of dedication. It’s a sign of insecurity.
The year is 1999. I’m in design school, in one of my “foundation of design” studio classes. Everyone’s brought their latest project, a set of perfectly arranged gradient steps painted with gouache. They’ve mounted them to cardboard and pinned them carefully to the wall.
